There was the seed of a good idea here, but it needed more work. The level design is decent, but not great, and I don't think dividing each level up into small chunks helped matters. The way your dragon changes jumping physics for the last two forms is a bit annoying, and I wish I had the option of slowing down my jump in the last form instead of the dragon just doing that automatically every time. And if you manage to upgrade your dragon fully, the game turns into a cakewalk, which isn't what you want for a game no longer than a single world in Mario 3 or Mario World. The worst surprise was the music. It has a few OK tracks, but a couple of them get really grating, which I did not expect from a Masaya product.

Still, I wouldn't call this a bad game. It's cute, and everything about it works (aside from some of the music). But it feels like it had the potential to be a lot better. There are better platformers on this console that will cost you less. Like there's no reason to get this over the first two Bonk games or Momotaro Katsugeki.

I rated this platformer game as a '7'. It is quite cute and fun, but it is rather short. It does have a difficulty select, so that encourages you to play it all the way through on all three difficulty modes. If this game were 2-3 times longer, then I would rate it as a '9'.

Cute and fun game, but way too easy!
