the soundtrack is amazing if only they added sampled speech but then this all fits into a tiny 2mbit hucard

I think this is my favorite shooter of all time, despite its lack of fancy CD graphics/soundtrack.... when you boil everything down, this game simply rocks. 10/10 baby. A Must have.

I agree. I really enjoyed the NES version, but when I tried this one, it was like WHOAH!

Best adaptation of the arcade game in my book! Konami's PC Engine synth drums really make the soundtrack.

I honestly have to say, though I liked the NES/Famicom Salamander with the exclusive Egyptian Pyramid stage, that version was very difficult to get back into after I played PC Engine Salamander.
