Super Star Soldier is my most played and favorite shooter of all time just going by hours/replay value! In short, SSS is the greatest shooter on the HuCard side of the library in my book.!
I'd have to play Blazing Lasers again to decide if I like that better though, but as it stands, SSS has been my number one played HuCard over the years overall. The power-ups aren't as great as Blazing Lasers, but that's a minor issue.
Best sound/music tracks are of stage 2 and stage 6, linked below. It's really the perfect shooter in all aspects of challenge, music, graphics, vertical level design, bosses, etc. And a true master will enter the Easter Egg code to enable the max difficulty level (which is stated in Japanese) and attempt to beat the game... :)
