I rated this a a solid '8'.

For me, I just got Ys III last week, and I played through it in two long evenings. This was my first time ever playing this game, and I really enjoyed it, even if it felt a bit short and basic in some ways. For my favorite TG-16 games, this one will definitely be in my top 20 (out of the 150ish which were released - both HuCard and CD format). If you've never played it, then I recommend that you get a copy and give it a try.
