Incredible port, practically identical to the arcade version (save for a few minor differences and the hidden stage). Also one of the best titles in the Gradius series. Truly a classic in every sense!

a god damn 10 out of 10! what konami provided us with this (almost 1:1) arcade conversion from 1988 is the big hit!
still one of my alltime fav shoot'em ups. a big shame they never tried to convert contra in the same quality!
